Care Notes: Waxed amaryllis bulbs are easy to care for! Place them flat in a well-lit room, avoid direct sunlight and don't worry about watering! To ensure your amaryllis grows straight, rotate it every few days. They can reach up to 16 inches tall!
At average room temperatures, waxed amaryllis begin blooming in about 4 to 6 weeks and will continue to bloom for about 3 weeks, producing 1 or 2 flower stalks with up to 4 blooms per stalk.
After blooming: Peel off the wax and snip any faded flowers. Plant your amaryllis bulb in standard potting soil (make sure that pot has drainage!) and let it rest in Winter in a cool dark spot. Move it into the light in Spring and start watering again.
